The Friends of Oakley Vale Primary School has been set up with two main objectives:
As the elected Committee for the Friends we would like to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves and welcome everyone to the next meeting on Wednesday 3rd December 2008, 19:30 at school and to encourage those who have not yet been involved to join us.
As Parents/Guardians of children at the school you automatically become part of the Friends and we would like to encourage you to come along and have a much welcomed input to the school.
A parent of a Reception child whose role on the Committee is to set meeting agendas and manage meetings in line with the agenda ensuring that issues are properly debated and agreement is reached.
This role is to ensure correspondence from school parents and Friends is passed on promptly, write up and distribute minutes, call meetings and make arrangements, Prepare agendas and general admin.
Who has 2 children in the School, one in Reception and one in Year 2. His role is to manage and control the funds, the balance of funds, committed expenditure, income and expenditure/profit from each event held and to report financial matters to the wider Friends group.
At the next meeting we will be electing a Vice Chair and Press Officers and will be looking for volunteers to become New Parent/Child welcome supporters. At the meeting week we will also be discussing future plans and fundraising events so get your thinking caps on, all ideas welcome!
